Children and Teens
Childhood and adolescence can be challenging even under the best circumstances. When grief, trauma, anxiety, family changes, bullying, social pressures, or other difficult experiences are added to the mix, young people can struggle to understand and express what they are feeling.
As a Grief and Clinical Services Specialist at the Highmark Caring Place, I work with children, teens, and families every day. I have extensive experience helping young people navigate grief, trauma, anxiety, and life's most difficult transitions.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each child's unique needs and developmental stage. Through evidence-based therapy, I help children and teens identify their emotions, build healthy coping skills, strengthen resilience, and gain confidence in their ability to face life's challenges.
Whether a young person is coping with the death of a loved one, anxiety, trauma, family changes, or other significant life events, counseling can provide the support and tools needed to heal, grow, and move forward with hope.
Every child deserves to know they do not have to face life's challenges alone.
