EMDR
EMDR is a therapy designed to help individuals process and recover from traumatic experiences. Developed by Francine Shapiro, EMDR works on the premise that unprocessed trauma can lead to emotional and psychological issues. During sessions, the therapist guides the client to recall a traumatic memory while engaging in bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or taps. This process helps reduce the emotional charge of the memory, allowing for effective integration.
